Organic Seed Oils Moisturize Skin

Organic seed oils are pure and simple. They absorb easily into the skin. They are also gluten free, dairy free, soy free, and free of chemicals. They can replace the use of lotions, which almost always have toxic ingredients. If you are looking to moisturize your skin in a healthy manner please read on.

My favorite seed oils help boost collagen, which help keep skin youthful. They also nourish skin cells by supplying the body with essential fatty acids. I like to rotate the oils by applying a different one each day. Rotating them helps ensure my skin receives a variety of nutrients.

Here are the oils I love for the skin!

#1: Organic cold pressed Coconut Oil. Coconut oil is extracted from the meat of a coconut, which is uniquely a seed, a nut, and a fruit. This oil is a bit heavy but absorbs into most skin within a few minutes. It is anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-microbial, and anti-fungal. It has a shelf life of 2-4 yrs.

#2: Organic Jojoba Oil. It is extracted from the seeds of the jojoba bush; a desert plant. It is a light oil that glides easily on the skin. Jojoba oil is anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, an analgesic, and anti-inflammatory. It is also high in iodine. It has a long shelf life of 5 years.

#3: Organic Rosehip Oil. Rosehip oil is extracted from seeds of the rose bush. It is a light oil with a pleasant scent. It contains natural retinol (vitamin A) and vitamin C, unlike the synthetic forms found in commercial skin care. It is antiviral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal. anti-inflammatory, and the shelf life is 6 months.

#4: Organic Castor oil can also be a boost to any of the above oils. It comes from seeds of the castor bean plant. Castor oil is a thick oil. You can add a few drops of it to any of the above oils. The oil is known to absorb deep into the layers of the skin. It also stimulates the lymphatic system. It is anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-microbial. Like jojoba oil, it has a long shelf life of 5 years.

Oils absorb best after a shower while your skin is still damp. You can also apply to dry skin by sprinkling in a few drops of water.

The oils can be mixed according to your preference. My favorite is jojoba oil with a touch of rosehip oil. Try these wonderful oils in different combinations. I’m sure you’ll find your favorites soon.
